It seemed like an arbitrary title change, and both titles are pretty bland. I was being an idiot – it’s obviously to avoid confusion with the popular soap of the same name. They’re looking out for you, potential audience member. Now when you ask someone if they want to see “that movie Neighbors” you don’t have to clarify. You don’t have to let anyone know that it has nothing to do with Australia (aside from co-starring Aussie actress Rose Byrne). Your life is now simple. Simple like the idea for the movie, which is that Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne get new neighbours, who are bad.

Watch Movies Online Free Without Downloading Mac (Rogen) and Kelly (Byrne) are living in suburbia with their new baby, and as the young couple are now young parents they can no longer do what young people without babies do, which in this movie is pretty much one thing: party. A single friend of theirs invites them to a rave that they decide to make “baby’s first rave”, because that’s obviously the responsible thing to do, right? Right. Needless to say, that plan doesn’t quite work out the way they imagined it would, and the pair are dealing with the fact that their lives have changed forever. That’s okay though, because it’s a nice life! They’ve got friends, family, and a roof over their heads in a nice, peaceful area. That is, until those titular bad neighbours come along, in the form of Teddy (Zac Efron) and Pete (Dave “is there room for two in Seth Rogen’s life?” Franco). They’re frat boys. Party animals. The physical embodiment of Mac and Kelly’s can no longer be. Mac and Kelly’s instinct is to head over, welcome the new neighbours, and ask them to be considerate and keep the noise down. They try to do so without seeming like buzzkills, and the frat boys seems reasonable. At first. Not before long, what started as a minor disagreement evolves into an all-out war.

Watch Godzilla Online The war games are entertaining – even if the best (and most absurd) prank is completely spoiled by the trailers – as the neighbours plot and scheme to one-up each other, with elaborate social manipulation at parties, property damage, and OutKast all making their way into the fun. Rogen, best known for his marijuana-fuelled antics on screen, also makes a refreshing change from the kind of actor that would ordinarily be chosen to play the stick-in-the-mud role he has here. Can Seth Rogen be out-bro’d? Efron has been stigmatised for a while now due to being the breakout star of a musical aimed at tweens, in much the same way Channing Tatum was stigmatised for being the breakout star of a dance movie aimed at teens. Channing Tatum turned it around with action roles, Soderberg collaborations and, crucially, Lord & Miller’s sleeper hit 21 Jump Street, a comedy that paired him with Apatow Alumni and Two-Time Academy Award Nominee Jonah Hill. That movie endeared Tatum to an entirely new demographic, and if Efron can be Channing Tatummed this might be the movie to do it. He holds his own not only starring alongside Apatow Alumni Seth Rogen, but also 21 Jump Street’s Dave Franco. Franco does manage to outshine him in what is a slightly smaller part though, as his character gets to be crazier, funnier and less of an archetype.
